Dr Gopi Elango has undertaken subspecialty fellowship training in head and neck surgery and offers expert management of a broad range of conditions involving the face, neck, salivary glands, thyroid, and oral cavity. He performs a high volume of thyroid and parathyroid operations and has particular expertise in managing complex skin cancers and mucosal lesions. His surgical care is guided by principles of functional preservation, oncological safety, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Surgical Oncology
With subspecialty training in surgical oncology, Dr Gopi Elango performs advanced procedures for melanoma, sarcoma, and soft tissue tumours. He is actively involved in multidisciplinary cancer care, including melanoma, sarcoma, and head and neck cancer multidisciplinary teams (MDTs), ensuring every patient receives evidence-based, coordinated treatment.

Dr Gopi Elango is an experienced general surgeon with Fellowship (FRACS) in General Surgery and extensive operative experience across a broad range of procedures. He performs both routine and complex surgeries including laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair, appendicectomy, and management of anorectal conditions.
